For 22 years, FAMES Hawaii has awarded scholarships to students, young community leaders, and aspiring entrepreneurs ready to further their education — and give back.

Dr. Lawrence K.W. Tseu

BS, DDS, FAGD, Ph.D

Dr. Lawrence K.W. Tseu is a graduate of St. Louis School, Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, Northwestern University Dental School and the Olympian International Sport Medicine College. He served in the Hawai‘i Army National Guard and five years in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War, from 1951 to 1955. Dr. Tseu is a Member of the Board of Regents and a Fellow of the University of Oxford, England.

Emily Baptiste

Founder of HMAA & Community Leader

Emily Baptiste and the Arnold Baptiste Family are the founders of HMAA, one of the largest healthcare providers in the State of Hawai‘i. Emily grew up in Honolulu, attended Maryknoll School (Class of ’53), where she received the Noblesse Oblige Award in 2022, and the University of Hawai‘i, and served as AAUW President.
