Featured Speakers

Sheldon Dunn, MBA, PhD

Lecturer in Strategy & Entrepreneurship, Shidler College of Business, UH Manoa

Sheldon Dunn, MBA, PhD, combines business insight, operating experience, and advanced research to help organizations think more clearly about strategy.

He is Principal of Value Engine LLC and a lecturer in strategic management and entrepreneurship at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa's Shidler College of Business.

His work asks a simple but powerful question: what do your customers, employees, and partners actually value, and are your decisions aligned with that reality?

He has advised Hawai'i-based ventures, led a marketing study for an insurer serving more than 700,000 members, and built a doctoral research study using natural language processing and deep learning to analyze how people talk about value.

Earlier in his career, he managed more than $100 million in construction and renovation projects across Navy and Air Force facilities statewide.

Summer Lee, CFP

Prior to joining the Shidler College of Business faculty as a full-time Instructor, Summer worked for 14 years as a financial advisor in Honolulu working with individuals and institutions in various forms of financial planning.
